A new film for Lena, so exciting!
“Game of Thrones” star Lena Headey as landed the female lead in Universal’s “Vigilandia,” starring Ethan Hawke.
James DeMonaco will direct from a script he penned. Plot details of the sci-fi thriller are being kept under wraps.
Jason Blum, Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form will produce through Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes along with Why Not Prods. Sebastien Lemercier exec produces.
Universal recently came on producer of the pic, the first film under its first-look deal with Blumhouse.
While Platinum Dunes has been known for making films at a price, the pic reps its first foray into really low-budgeted fare. Sources say the budget would be similar to that of FilmDistrict’s “Insidious” or the upcoming “Sinister.”
Besides “Game of Thrones,” whose second season bows on April 1, Headey can also be seen next in “Dredd,” starring Karl Urban.
She is repped by CAA and TMT Entertainment Group. Hawke is repped by CAA.

Game of Thrones actress Lena Headey has revealed how the second season of the hit HBO fantasy drama is set to be much crazier than the first and even more crazy than people could imagine. Lena admitted that the fact that the fans loved the first season of Game of Thrones so much, it gave them the drive and determination to go all out with the craziness.
Heady explained, “I can tell you that season two is even more exciting. We’ve all been liberated because people really love the show, so we’ve really gone for it. There’s a big arc with Cersei and Tyrion. They bring out each other’s crazy. It’s intriguing because she’s crazy. And this also means a new event for Lena, this time it’s the ‘HBO’s Post 2012 Golden Globe Awards Party’ which she attended yesterday on January 16th. She’s wearing a Thomas Wylde dress, Judith Leiber clutch and Dries Van Noten pumps.
